The Clachaig Hogmanay Hoolie 2026
Our Clachaig Hogmanay Hoolie is legendary, with music in both the Boots Bar and the Bidean Lounge Bar to round off a cracking day in the Highlands.
On Hogmanay we like to offer you a choice of music to welcome in the bells. If you are after Traditional Scottish music then head into the Lounge Bar. If Blues/Rock music is more your thing head into the Boots Bar.
During the course of the day and evening, it’s very much business as usual. Our menus are served from midday until 9pm in both the Boots Bar and the Bidean Lounge Bar.
Please note that it can get a little busy, though not always, so you are advised to arrive as early as possible if you’d like to eat.
The Boots Bar
In the Boots Bar from 10pm we will have The Shine which was formed by Jamie Donaghy and Paul Martin in 2006, in a caravan with 2 guitars and 8 cans of beer where they penned You Said – which went on to be a big hit in their home town of Kinlochleven in the Scottish Highlands, and over the years their music has earned them the nickname ‘The Highland Beatles’.m around 10pm, Band The Shine , will be providing the musical entertainment in the Boots Bar..
Please note that Hogmanay in the Boots Bar is a lively but fun affair, and everyone (18’s and over) is invited. There is no entry charge.
The Bidean Lounge Bar
Music in the Bidean Lounge Bar also starts at 10.00pm, or thereabouts, trad duo Sir-Reel Clark’s ft Aaron Clark, will be bringing in the bells with some traditional Scottish tunes. Sir-Reel Clark’s play a wide range of Scottish and Irish music, both traditional with some covers thrown in for good measure. A small family band with diverse and zany ideas. Surreal with a double meaning!
Please note that in both bars there will be a brief pause in service as we count down to the bells. Please ensure that you have charged your glasses in advance!
Under 18’s are allowed in the Lounge Bar until 10pm. There is no entry charge.
The music in both bars will wind down from 12.30am, as it’s time to say goodnight.
